  Let me start by identifying myself as a recently Retired California REALTOR who is traveling the country by RV in search of a place to call home. I'm considering all sorts of scenarios in all parts of the country and very well may end up dividing my time either between two permanent locations or one place to spend the spring and summer and RV over the colder months. In other words, I haven't got a clue as to what I am looking for...but like love, I have to believe that I'll know when I find it. With that being said, as a recently retired REALTOR I have very high expectations for the agent I choose to work with in any given market. I usually have several casual conversations with different real estate agents in a new market before I zero in on the one I believe to have the highest professional standards and the best personality along with an exceptional command of the local real estate market. Well,it didn't take me long to know that Joann Christmann the Broker and Owner of Scenic Byway Realty, LLC was just the REALTOR that I want to work with, during my scheduled two week stay in Richfield Springs at the Cooperstown KOA Campground. While I would never be looking for a farm or other home with lots of land, as I am retired and just don't want the headaches that come with land, I did have some questions about the possibility and it became very obvious that Ms. Christmann knows her rural properties and what it takes to successfully complete a purchase of this magnitude - something I have zero experience with, back home in California. While I probed for more information, she and her talented staff were quick to provide me with the data I was seeking. The more I learned, the more I knew, if I were ever to settle along The Scenic Highway of US Route 20 (and it is amazingly beautiful) that it would not be on any piece of property that included more than an acre (3 max). Thank you for your sharing your wisdom. Now, what really intrigued me is the many Victorian homes, most are well over 100 years old. The region is rich with history and historical properties. These interest me. What I really find amazing is how inexpensive they are, in comparison to the price of a home in Southern California. Joann purchased a similar home 25 years ago, so she has plenty of experience which she freely shared as I probed, again answering all of my questions., She left me wanting to know more; she was never pushy and always patient in allowing me to explore. Not only is she knowledgeable and professional about local real estate she is a pillar in the community as a member of the local Rotary International chapter and the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. I'll bet her community involvement goes much deeper, as she could answer any question I had about the community and region, in general. Whether I end up here or not remains to be seen, but I do know that if I ever buy any New York Real Estate, Joann Christmann of Scenic Byway Realty will be representing me. As a licensed California REALTOR, I highly recommend her and the entire Scenic Byway Realty team to anyone looking to do the same.

  Joann Christmann is the consummate professional in the real estate market.Directly from the beginning of the sale of our property Joann never missed a single detail and demonstrated a great degree of skill in marketing,negotiating & staging the property.Most particularly,the property which Joann assisted us with was rather unique and truly,her abilities in attracting the proper buyer to the property were phenomenal.Without reservation,we highly recommend Scenic Byway Realty for any real estate transaction,whether simple or specialized .
